After-Service Care

Tile & Grout Maintenance Guide

Protect your completed service with simple cleaning habits that keep grout lines brighter, caulk healthier, and sealed surfaces easier to maintain.

First 48 Hours

  • Keep freshly restored areas dry until your technician’s cure window has passed.
  • Avoid heavy foot traffic, bath mats, rugs, and furniture on serviced floors.
  • Use ventilation in showers and bathrooms to help materials cure evenly.

Weekly Cleaning

  • Sweep or vacuum grit before mopping so tile and grout lines do not get scratched.
  • Use a neutral-pH tile cleaner and a soft mop, sponge, or nylon brush.
  • Rinse away cleaner residue; leftover soap film can attract soil and dull the finish.

Wet Areas

  • Run the bathroom fan during and after showers to reduce moisture exposure.
  • Squeegee shower walls and corners when possible to limit mineral and soap buildup.
  • Keep caulked corners visible and dry; call if you see separation, gaps, or dark staining.

Sealer Protection

  • Wipe spills quickly, especially coffee, wine, oils, cosmetics, and cleaners with dyes.
  • Avoid harsh acids, bleach-heavy products, waxes, and abrasive powders unless approved for your surface.
  • Schedule periodic cleaning and resealing based on traffic, moisture, and surface type.

Avoid These Common Mistakes

  • Vinegar or acidic cleaners on grout or natural stone
  • Steel wool, wire brushes, or abrasive scouring pads
  • Steam cleaning newly completed grout or caulk
  • Leaving wet rugs or rubber-backed mats on tile floors
  • Mixing bleach with other cleaning chemicals
